Apache tomcat is a web server( can handle HTTP request and responses ) specially created to deploy JSPs and Java Servlets.

Eclipse is an integrated development environment (IDE) used in computer programming, and it is the most widely used Java IDE. It contains a base workspace and an extensible plug-in system for customizing the environment.

How install and configure Apache,MariaDB,PHP on Arch Linux. ( Antergos OS )

How install and configure Apache,MariaDB,PHP on Arch Linux. ( Antergos OS )

Today I am going to tell you how install LAMP ( Apache,MariaDB , PHP on Linux ) and configure it.

LAMP stack is set of open source software to up and run web application. Small description about these software will given in each chapter.

To install these software on Arch Linux you can use pacman manager ( graphical tool or terminal ). If you use pacman-manager graphical tool search each software and it will show you latest version available on repository. If you use terminal use this code to update repository first.

 sudo pacman -Syu

Install Apache

Web server is the software which receive the request to web page and take to the web page. Apache is the most widely used web server software which developed and maintain by Apache Software Foundation. Apache is an open-source software available for free.

Now you have up to date pacman repository and can install Apache.

sudo pacman -S apache

Hi guys, today i am going to show you hove add some extra features to our simple HTTP-Sever created using python socket module. So if you have no idea what is it please refer my previous blog post.

Previous post I describe you how send string as response. Here i will explain how send file. Yeh ! .html , .css , .jpg , .png and .js files can send. Again i want to say if you have no idea about this please first read this post.

First we should identify which file is client request. Then we can check whether its available in our container or not. If file exist we can send it and if not we should send error message saying file not exist.

A server is a computer program that provides services to other computer programs (and their users) in the same or other computers. ( The computer that a server program runs in is also frequently referred to as a server. )

Web Status Codes

Web Status Codes

The status codes are all three-digit numbers that are grouped by the first digit into 5 groups. The reason phrases given with the status codes below are just suggestions. Server can return any reason phrase they wish.

1xx: Informational

No 1xx status codes are defined, and they are reserved for experimental purposes only.

2xx: Successful

Means that the request was processed successfully.

  • 200 OK
  • Means that the server did whatever the client wanted it to, and all is well.

  • Others
  • The rest of the 2xx status codes are mainly meant for script processing and are not often used.
