Java is programming language and computing platform developed  by Sun Microsystem in 1995. Java runs on more than billions of devices worldwide.

You may already heard about java versions. Since 1995 as a stable programming language it has gone through so many updates as well as additions of several classes and packages to the standard library. Since J2SE 1.4, the evolution of the Java language has been governed by the Java Community Process (JCP), which uses Java Specification Requests (JSRs) to propose and specify additions and changes to the Java platform.

Java SE 8

Eclipse is an integrated development environment (IDE) used in computer programming, and it is the most widely used Java IDE. It contains a base workspace and an extensible plug-in system for customizing the environment.
